3 WWE 2K17 Wrestlers Announced at E3

Before E3 2016, 2K Games announced a rather unorthodox means of revealing new additions to the WWE 2K17 roster. It said Rob Schamberger would paint a picture of the latest wrestlers at the event. This meant people could periodically pass 2K’s E3 booth to see the new folks take shape. By the end of the conference, John Cena, the Ultimate Warrior, and Sasha “Legit Boss” Banks took shape.

I happened to pass the back of the 2K Games booth about halfway through the second day of E3. By that point, Schamberger had almost completely finished Cena, The Ultimate Warrior was almost done, and Bank’s black outline was finished. It was so amazing to see the work in progress. It made me wish my Thursday hadn’t been so packed, as it’d have been amazing to see the finished painting in person.

2K Games hasn’t announced what will happen with this WWE 2K17 painting. I hope it gets a place of honor somewhere. It really was a magnificent work of art. Large too, as it was bigger than a person!
