A Resident Evil TV Show Is In The Works

Resident Evil might be coming to your TV screen, and not as a game on a console. A new TV show is in the works, based on the Resident Evil franchise. Made by Christopher Lebert, the show is described as a detective drama, rather than a horror or action show. Think along the lines of Se7en … but with Zombies. The show will be produced by Mance Media.

“When Detective James Reinhardt is thrust into a series of bizarre homicides, he unravels the city is hiding a dark conspiracy,” reads a pitch description on Mance Media’s website. “Learning a fatal virus is connected to it all; Reinhardt discovers it’s already coursing through him. With time no longer on his side, he must solve the conspiracy to save his own life.”

It doesn’t sound a whole lot like Resident Evil but, hey, whatever. It still sounds cool. The working title for the new series is Arklay , a city that lies northwest of Raccoon City. The show will supposedly tie into the events of Resident Evil 2 .
