Aliens: Colonial Marines was an absolute disaster. It was a terrible game and, in most cases, I’d recommend skipping it in favor of Alien: Isolation . Except now, a mod from TemplarGFX may have made Aliens: Colonial Marines worthwhile. The new mod completely overhauls the game, making it better.
TemplarGFX fixed so many things. The graphics have been improved, the engine has been fixed to improve gameplay, the AI for Xenomorphs, enemies, and allies has been improved, and there have been tweaks to the player’s equipment. There are so many positive changes. Animations have been fixed, lighting has been improved, and you’ll even see bodies and acid or blood effects remain in an area, to make it more authentic.
Best of all, it’s actually a rather small file. That is, in the grand scheme of things. 94.63mb. Setting it up takes a bit of doing, but this Aliens: Colonial Marines mod is amazing and worth the effort.
