Even though Link is The Legend of Zelda’ s chosen one, there are plenty of strong chicks in the series’ roster. Warrior women abound, and Hyrule Warriors Legends helps show this off with plenty of female characters to choose from. One more will be coming soon, as Marin has been revealed as a playable DLC character.
Marin will be included in Hyrule Warriors Legends’ $6.99 Link’s Awakening Pack. It comes out this summer. In case you don’t recall, she’s the woman who finds Link on the beach in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening . She sings the “Ballad of the Wind Fish.” She was also the inspiration for Malon, who appeared in Ocarina of Time, Oraclle of Seasons, Four Swords Adventures , and The Minish Cap.
I wonder how well Marin will work as a fighter. It’s great to see her getting some attention again, considering she only appeared in one The Legend of Zelda game, but she was never a warrior. She did say she wanted to be a seagull, at one point, and she is a singer, so perhaps she’ll have a musical weapon and summon some birds? We’ll have to see what this summer brings!
