Arkham Knight on the PC Still an Unplayable Mess

I was just kidding about the expired Taco Bell coupons, but I wouldn’t put it past them. After the abysmal initial launch of Batman: Arkham Knight for the PC, the game was pulled and then re-released yesterday. As an apology to fans that had to wait, the game will now include free downloads for previous Arkham games that most fans likely already have in their libraries. That was an uninspiring apology, but what whatever, at least we can play Arkham Knight on our PCs now, right? And we have all of the season pass content coming our way!

Not so fast. It seems that Arkham Knight is still unplayable for most. If you’re using Windows 10 and have 12 gigs of RAM you’re fine; go enjoy your game. If you’re stuck in the stone-age and wielding a laughable 8 gigs of RAM or less, you’re likely noticing a lot of the same issues that plagued the game at launch. But that’s probably your fault, you should upgrade your machine. We’ve also been informed that there’s a paging issue for Windows 7 players that sets in after extended gameplay sessions. No worries, friends, just restart your game and you’re good… for a little while.

No word as of yet what Digital Foundry plans to do to make this up to PC gamers, but considering its last apology, I wouldn’t expect too much.
