Armored Core 2: Another Age Cheat Codes, Unlockables, and Glitches for PlayStation 2 (PS2)

The Armored Core series is another one of the prolific developer, FromSoftware’s flagship franchises. Armored Core 2: Another Age is the last game in the original Armored Core storyline. The gameplay is extremely similar to Armored Core 2, with only a few changes to the core mechanics. The game received generally favorable reviews but many weren’t a fan of the removal of the Arena mode.

Armored Core 2: Another Age Premise

The game is an expansion of the base Armored Core 2 but it can be played stand alone. Even though the Arena mode is missing in this title, the game makes up for it with over 100 missions. If you prefer great solo play from your games then this is the best Armored Core for you. It even has an additional cooperative mission mode for local coop mech action.

While playing the Game Enter these Codes. After Entering them the Game will Pause, press Start to resume playing and the camera will be fixed at the location it has to be set at after clicking the codes.

Glitches

Change difficulties in mid-game

While you cannot change your the difficulty setting in single-player mode after you start the game, you can in split-screen mode. Just go to ”Split-Screen” mode, and load the AC file that you want its difficulty changed. Once the data is loaded, go to ”Options”, look for ”Level”, and change the difficulty to the one you want. Once changed, go to ”Data Save” and save. When you load the data in single-player mode, the difficulty will be set to the one you set in split-screen mode, and you don’t have to start all over again. In other words, if you originally set it on hard, then you change the difficulty to normal in split-screen, when you load the data, the game will be set to normal. This is perfect for those who only have one plus file, and want to change its difficulty.

Unlimited energy

Press L2 + R2 + R3. A ”Limiter Release” system error message will appear. during a limited time, you will have unlimited energy (appx. 1 minute). After that minute, an ”OB Down” message will appear undercharging in the upper left corner. It will last almost as long as the previous error depending on the AC core you built, but you will not have any energy. After ”OB Down” is completed, your AC will recharge and return to normal.

50,000C in ‘Attack the terrorists’ mission

In the ”Attack the terrorists” mission in Zearm Desert, there is a bomber flying around. Destroy it to earn an extra 50,000C at the end of the mission.

Continue from Armored Core 2

Just go to the load data screen and select a save game from Armored Core 2 and you’ll be able to use all your parts from before. Doesn’t work with the PAL version of the game.

Continue from Armored Core 2

Load the saved data from Armored Core 2 in the one-player scenario to start out with all previously obtained weapons and money.

Limiter Release

To activate the Limiter Release, press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2, then press R3 (Overboost). This will put you into Limiter Release mode for around 40 seconds. The only downside is that you get an OB Depletion indicator after the 40 seconds are up, leaving you totally powerless for 50 seconds.

Bonus missions

Successfully complete the game, save your data, and then load the saved data. You can now access three new high-paying missions where you face Stinger in his AC (from Armored Core: Project Phantasma), Phantasma (who Stinger had merged with), and Final Nine-Ball (from Armored Core: Master Of Arena). All three new missions are very tough. However, you can go overweight for all these missions. After defeating all three, you will get some very fast hover legs, and an “Inside” orbit cannon.

Enemy emblems

Destroy an enemy AC during a mission to unlock its emblem in emblem edit mode.
