Banjo-Kazooie Devs Tease a Spiritual Successor

Banjo-Kazooie Devs Tease a Spiritual Successor

The original team behind Banjo-Kazooie , along with several other game developer greats, are starting a new project. The game is codenamed Project Ukulele and will be a platformer designed by Playtonic Games, but otherwise specifics about the game have not yet been revealed. However, specifics about the game’s team have not been so Rare. Get it? ‘Cause Rare made Banjo-Kazooie ?

It was funnier in my head.

“We’ve got the bloke who programmed Donkey Kong Country , the character designer behind Banjo and Kazooie, and the artist who made your console fit to burst with lavish environments across a decade’s worth of adventure games,” reads the official Playtonic Website.

It goes on to say that the team won’t actively be trying to recreate Banjo-Kazooie , but that instead the game will be a worthy spiritual successor to the fondly remembered platforming adventures the dev team built in the past.
