Bethesda and Nintendo Team Up to Bring Titles to Switch

Bethesda and Nintendo Team Up to Bring Titles to Switch

Bethesda has been in full on tease mode lately by telling us they have one other game releasing in 2017 that we don’t know about yet. It was during the September Nintendo Direct that they finally revealed what in the world they were talking about. It would appear the secret was actually Doom on the Nintendo Switch. How ’bout that! Other Bethesda news in the wings were a Switch version of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and a release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo’s system.

Let’s start with Doom first. This is the grand finale of the year for Bethesda. They waited this long to finally reveal that their first-person shooter will be coming to the Switch. Hopefully this is the start of a dark and bloody future for Nintendo. It’s about time they started putting more adult titles on their consoles again! Doom on the Nintendo Switch will release in the 2017 Holiday season.

According to Pete Hines’ (VP of PR and marketing at Bethesda) Twitter, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be releasing on the Switch some time next year.

The final big news coming from the Bethesda and Nintendo partnership is a release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim . We’ve known that Skyrim would be making another appearance at some point on the Switch, but didn’t know exactly when. The 2017 Nintendo Direct revealed that Skyrim will release on the Switch on November 17, 2017.

Nintendo fans have all kinds of awesome titles to look forward to on their Nintendo systems. Doom , Wolfenstein II , and Skyrim will hopefully mark the usually family friendly company partnering with more third parties on mature titles.
