Bethesda has lifted the veil on some of the voice acting talent its upcoming first-person action game Dishonored will employ when it hits shelves this October. The announced list of actors is certainly an impressive one, including award-winning television and movie stars such as Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, John Slattery, Michael Madsen, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Lena Headey. The prolific Oscar winner Sarandon will play Granny Rags, a “former aristocrat” turned “intriguing old blind woman now deranged after years of street life.” Golden Globe winner Dourif, meanwhile, portrays Piero, an inventor who supplies protagonist Corvo Atano with a variety of gadgets and gear. Mad Men ’s John Slattery will play Admiral Havelock, one of Corvo’s allies, while veteran Michael Madsen plays the “mysterious assassin” Daud. Moretz, of Kick-Ass fame, is Young Lady Emily, the Empress’ daughter, here, and Game of Thrones ’ Headey is Emily’s protector, Calista. Finally, Carrie Fisher (yes, Princess Leia) will be heard over the various loudspeakers throughout the game’s city of Dunwall as a political propagandist.
Dishonored is currently scheduled to launch for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 9 in North America, and on October 12 in Europe. By Jeff Dunn |
