Have you ever played those stupid “who would you rather date” games with your friends? Well now it’s actually become a real honest to goodness competitive game. Enter Billionaire Banshee , a card game that is currently being Kickstarted.
The point of the game is simple. A perk and a quirk are flipped up from a random assortment of cards in order to create a fantasy person. Everyone at the table then chooses whether or not they would date or deny that person and if you can correctly guess which one, you get a point. The thing, is, the perks and quirks are kind of out there. Like the perk could involve owning a giant robot, but the quirk could involve having translucent skin… yuck.
So where do the indie references come in? Well lots of these cards have indie game icons on them. For example, a perk could be that they are a luchardor, from Guacamelee , or a quirk could be that they are an Octopus, from Octodad . Characters from Go Home Dinosaurs, Blood Alloy, and Roundabout are also included as cameos and there are more to come.
