BioShock: The Collection Leaks Lead to an Announcement

BioShock: The Collection Leaks Lead to an Announcement

Let’s be honest. Yesterday, BioShock: The Collection was both announced and not announced. It all started with the official BioShock Twitter asking if we’d kindly follow their account. Then, a number of people ended up finding remastered images from BioShock, BioShock 2 , and BioShock Infinite on 2K Games’ servers. The kicker? A 2K Games BioShock: The Collection website even launched. Think of it as a false start, because now the collection is officially announced for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It’ll be out on September 13 for $59.99.

There are some caveats. For one, BioShock 2 ‘s multiplayer didn’t make it in. You’ll have to savor the single player. Also, people on PCs won’t be getting a remastered version of BioShock Infinite . 2K Games says it’s as good as its going to get on computers already. Still, getting BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite all at once is pretty sweet! Especially since it’s optimised and has every installment’s DLC packs.

But man, 2K Games sure did a terrible job keeping this secret. At this rate, it should have gone ahead and told people what was up yesterday, rather than waiting less than 24 hours for the full reveal.
