Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Reaches It’s Kickstarter Goal in Four Hours

Yesterday we reported on Castlevania designer Koji Igarashi’s newest project, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night . He was looking to raise $500,000 for the project in a little over a month. He managed to reach it in a little under 4 hours. People really want to see a new Metroidvania style game.

Not only did the project reach its funding goal in a little under four hours, it also managed to reach every single stretch goal it set for itself. That’s right, every single stretch goal, including artbooks, cheat codes, local co-op, new characters, new difficulty levels, and even the addition of Metal Gear great David Hayter to the voice cast.

In addition, the campaign has blown past most of its “Kickstarter Achievements” as well. These were tiny little quests like reaching an amount of tweets or youtube subscribers, which would unlock yet more stretch goal oriented rewards. Unfortunately, the team has not yet updated the achievements, so we don’t know what new elements will be added to the game. At time of writing, the project has raised 1,364,108 dollars with 17,668 backers, which is a pretty useless statistic as the amount of backers and cash raised just keeps going up every second.

Head on over to the official Kickstarter page to show your support.
