Code Of Princess Gets North American Release Date

Code Of Princess Gets North American Release Date

None

At E3, one of the coolest things that blindsided me out of left field was Code of Princess, a new game coming to the 3DS from Atlus and, specifically, the creator of Guardian Heroes (a classic Saturn game that has found new life as an Xbox LIVE Arcade title). The one thing the Atlus reps couldn’t provide me with, however, was a date. They held to a “Fall 2012” release for t he game, which was still undergoing localization.

As of today, the actual release date has been finalized: Code of Princess will be washing up on North American shores on Tuesday, October 9. It’d be best to pre-order it now, while the artbook and soundtrack goodies are still available (as is almost traditional with Atlus RPG releases). Mind, this isn’t a standard RPG, but one crafted in the vein of Guardian heroes, with a heavy action component and layered stages, allowing one to move into the foreground or background lanes in addition to left and right. This keeps the action fast and hectic while removing the classic side-scrolling beat’-em-up playstyle of allowing enemies to approach along a vertical axis to catch them off guard.
