If you’re one of those people who was looking forward to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive providing some kind of resolution to the great “PC vs. Console” debate, you’re about to be severely disappointed. Chet Faliszek, one of the writers over at Valve, recently spoke to Joystiq and confirmed that cross-platform play will not be supported when Global Offensive finally hits the market. “The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC,” said Faliszek. “To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn’t hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play—essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them” ![]()
