If you’ve been holding off on Destiny 2 because you aren’t sure if investing in all its expansions is worthwhile, then you may be in luck. The Destiny 2: Legendary Collection is set to contain the base game and three expansions. Observant people will note that, so far, there are only two expansions out for the game. The reason for the disparity is that the collection will also contain the upcoming expansion, Forsaken, which releases on the same day.
Forsaken will retail for $39.99. Destiny 2: Legendary Collection is set to retail for $59.99, so the price difference is minimal. If you happen to already be missing one or both of the expansions so far, this will be an affordable way to catch up.
The only thing it will lack is the Destiny 2 annual pass, which will grant access to three upcoming mini expansions. Those will begin releasing in Winter 2018. The last one of those will launch in Summer 2019. That pass retails for $34.99.
The collection and expansion are due to release on September 4,2018. Players who also want the annual pass can purchase all of this content as part of a Complete Collection for $99.99.
