A week before the full launch of Devil May Cry HD Collection , Twitch Prime subscribers are getting the first game, parted out, for PC. As great as this should be for Devil May Cry fans, this new port appears to have some serious performance problems.
The primary snag most players are running into has to do with Devil May Cry HD ’s frame rate. Footage of the game provided from users on monitors with a refresh rate over 60 Hz shows the entire game, menus and all, jittery and way too fast, like the whole game is having a caffeine-induced meltdown. The issues appears to be stemming from something preventing the game from locking its frame rate, and isn’t showing up on 60Hz monitor setups.
Other issues are facing the game, which appear to be bugs. These don’t necessarily affect the game, and likely are only noticeable by fans super familiar with the PS2 original. The list of bugs includes missing blur trails when Dante is jumping, broken audio looping, and music playing faster than it should.
