Don You Now Your Zelda Apparel

None

Zelda fans, prepare to proudly proclaim your love for one of gaming’s most beloved franchise with a new limited edition t-shirt.

Now, this is certainly not the first Zelda shirt to ever come out of Japan, but it’s probably the scarcest release, and the most expensive. Bearing an image reminiscent of the Hylian shield/Master Sword pairing made famous by Ocarina of Time, this shirt embellishes the image with various items from the series’ history: bombs, arrows, rupees, the boomerang, and, of course, a heart container. Further, the shield bears the Skyward Sword crest beneath its Triforce, and the words “Power,” “Wisdom,” and “Courage” on a three-part scroll beneath the shield. If ever there was a Zelda coat-of-arms, this is it.

The shirt is available for pre-order in black and forest green from King of Games, between now and February 20, 2012. The shirts are expected to ship in early May and cost 5500 yen, or about $70 U.S.

This is a one-time printing and, once it is done, these shirts will never be made again. Further, King of Games does not do exchanges, even for sizing issues, so it is recommended that those buying use the sizing chart to figure out which size they should order by comparing the measurements to those of a t-shirt that fits well.

One last thing: The boxes these shirts come in are printed at the same factory that printed boxes for original Famicom games back in the day. This one is gold.
