OK, it’s disclosure time. I don’t have an Xbox One yet. You know, it’s that whole money issue and not getting around to it yet. But, if I did, I’d be all over Microsoft’s latest peripheral. There are going to be Xbox One Copper Shadow and Dusk Shadow Controllers. They’re incredibly chic.
The Copper Shadow and Dusk Shadow Xbox One controllers are basically standard Xbox One wireless controllers. They aren’t the Elite model or anything. What makes them special is their design. Each one has a gradated finish. The Copper Shadow goes from copper to black, while the Dusk Shadow goes from blue to black.
Both models also happen to be more limited than the regular Xbox One controller. They’re each up for pre-order at the Microsoft store for $69.99 each. They’ll be released on March 22, with the Copper Shadow showing up in GameStop stores and Dusk Shadow at Best Buy. Major Nelson also notes the Dusk Shadow will only be available at Best Buy “for a limited time,” but makes no such mention about the Copper Shadow.
Remember, you can never have enough controllers. This comes from a chick with 6 Wii Remotes and 5 DualShock 3s.
