EA and Origin Access Don’t Apply to Titanfall 2

Do you pay for EA Access or Origin Access so you can get discounts on and early access to EA games? Well, that perk isn’t heading Titanfall fans’ way. It turns out Titanfall 2 is going to be exempt from the deals offered by both programs. Let’s all make an audible, disappointed “Aww.”

EA hasn’t explained why EA Access and Origin Access don’t apply to Titanfall 2. The company just says they don’t, but parts of the subscription programs could eventually, someday apply. Unfortunately, this means we won’t get to play the game five days early if we’re part of either program. It also means we won’t get 10% off of digital copies of the game. No free trial for it either, though two betas were already held last month.

This is really disappointing news. It also sets a bad precedent. If a major game like Titanfall 2 isn’t covered by EA Access and Origin Access, maybe EA will suddenly decide something like Battlefield 1 or Mass Effect Andromeda should be exempt too.
