Saints Row IV: Enter the Dominatrix Summary
Have you ever wondered if you made a different choice, what sort of world would you then have? And what if that same world was invaded by aliens? Those questions are answered in the Saints Row IV DLC, Enter the Dominatrix. Just not in the way anyone would expect. The first DLC for Saints Row IV, released on Oct 24th, 2013, Enter the Dominatrix follows a different storyline than the base game.
A completely different one, with various twists and turns no one, not even the characters themselves, saw coming. At all. It was too weird, even for Saints Row.
Saints Row IV: Enter the Dominatrix Premise
Following the events of the “Kill Killbane” ending of Saints Row III, the mayor of Steelport, Mayor Pierce, is enjoying an average day. Then, aliens show up, and the universe appears it may be in a simulation. Despite not being in a simulation, it is an alternate universe where the player makes a different choice at the end of the third game, and it appears to be a collection of deleted scenes.
Ah, that explains it. Enter the Dominatrix follows the “Deleted scenes” of the third game’s DLC. The characters present a sort of “documentary interview” set up where they themselves go over the events of the DLC, complaining about the parts they liked, and didn’t like, and commenting on just how weird things got.
Well, at least Saints Row IV isn’t lacking in variety!
Saints Row IV: Enter the Dominatrix Main Characters
- The Playa. Our player character, if the name didn’t tip you off. A wisecracking, somewhat sociopathic leader of the Saints Row gang. Though they usually roll with the punches of the weirdness of Saints Row, this one might be too much, even for them.
- Zinyak. The final boss of the main game. He doesn’t like this one very much though.
- The Dominatrix. An A.I. of the simulated universe, despite said DLC not taking place in a simulated universe. It somehow gained sentience and became, well, a dominatrix.
- Pierce. The Mayor of Steelport. Also a hacker? He likes the DLC, a lot, mostly because it is the one where he’s the mayor for once.
- Josh. Every friend group has a ‘friend’ you’re just more or less okay with. Josh plays a vampire hunter on a TV show. He uh, makes an entrance in the DLC.
- Shaundi. She doesn’t like the DLC very much, given that she died in the “Kill Killbane” ending. She’s alive here though! Though, uh, how? Best not to think about it very much, to be honest. Also, there’s a cyborg verison of her? Uuuuhh…let’s move on.
- Kinzie. The resident hacker of the group. Loves one plan in particular, and will talk at length about it.
- Zimos. A pimp from the third game, can pull a cart with full-grown adults on it, while in a firefight. Probably the only nice thing you can say about him.
