Recently, it was hinted by EA CEO John Riccitiello that the Wii would be receiving the lion’s share of software support in the future. On that note, EA today announced that Dead Space Extraction, built exclusively for Wii, will be launching in Fall of 2009. The new game will be a prequel to the events that occurred during Isaac Clarke’s expedition to the USG Ishimura in the original Dead Space. Players will take control of a new character, as the story behind the necromorphs is further fleshed out. “The game introduces a new heroine to the fiction and as the crew fall victim to a mysterious contagion aboard the ship, it becomes clear that protecting her may be their only hope for survival.
