Big news for video game-loving folks who didn’t have a reason to pay attention to ESPN before. You have one now. It’s now covering eSports . They have their own section on the official website, right next to soccer. That’s a pretty big step forward, considering the channel didn’t start covering them at all until The International 2014.
Right now, ESPN is focusing on three specific games. Dota 2 , Hearthstone , and League of Legends each have their own sections. It also has a ESPN eSports Twitter account now. However, a few articles about other games and events, like the Halo World Championships and Genesis, are already appearing on the site.
