Fallout 76 Beta Begins in October 2018

A community administrator on Bethesda’s forums shed some light on what we can expect from the upcoming beta for the multiplayer addition to the Fallout franchise, Fallout 76. They also informed players that more information about the game itself would be coming in the near future at QuakeCon 2018.

Everyone who pre-orders Fallout 76 at a participating retailer will be allowed entry into the beta. In October 2018, Bethesda will start to select players from a pool of people who have pre-ordered the game. They will then slowly add more players on, with a plan to “start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch.” It isn’t clear if there are parameters for choosing who gains entry before others. If there are, I would hope it would correspond to when the beta code was redeemed.

At QuakeCon 2018, a Fallout 76 panel will be held. Bethesda’s Todd Howard will host it. Part of the presentation will talk about the game, and a Q&A portion has been promised.
