Final Fantasy XV 60FPS Patch Coming December

Final Fantasy XV 60FPS Patch Coming December

Square Enix has been chatty about its plans for Final Fantasy XV on the PS4 Pro. The company has already confirmed that a patch adding HDR and 4K support will be released on November 29, the day of the game’s launch. We now know that they intend to release a second PS4 Pro patch in December that will enable the game to run at 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution. This parallels what we recently learned about Nioh, so it’s safe to assume more developers will implement these sorts of graphical options going forward.

Final Fantasy XV is also getting a third demo in Japan tomorrow. Titled Judgment Disc (even though it’s not a disc, we know), it features the game’s opening up through the middle of chapter one. You won’t be able to carry over save data to the full game, but completing it will unlock a special preview trailer that will only be accessible through this demo.

If you have a Japanese PSN account, you can download the demo tomorrow to get a sneak peek at the game. We have not yet heard if Judgment Disc will make its way to North America, but we’ll be playing the full game soon enough when it launches on November 29.
