Final Fantasy XV’s Season Pass Won’t Include All DLC

Final Fantasy XV’s Season Pass Won’t Include All DLC

Square Enix is determined to wring as much money out of Final Fatnasy XV as it possibly can. The game has been in development, in some form or another, for over a decade. In addition to what has turned out to be an enormous next-gen RPG, Square Enix has been spending additional tens of millions in order to get us invested in the story. That money has been going toward a full-length CG film, an anime mini-series, a mobile game, and more. To get the full Final Fantasy XV experience, you’ll have to fork over some cash.

Fans were peeved to learn that the Ultimate Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy XV , which costs a mind-blowing $270, doesn’t include a season pass for the game. If you feel like dropping $85 on a premium digital edition you will get a season pass, but now we’ve learned that the season pass won’t entitle you to all of the game’s DLC. Director Hajime Tabata just revealed in an interview with Famitsu (via Push Square ) that additional DLC is planned for Final Fantasy XV – DLC that the season pass won’t cover. It’s a great deal more annoying to note that he doesn’t even know exactly what it will be yet – they just know they want more money.

Just make sure the game ships in the proper state, Square Enix. Worry about cashing in on additional DLC once the great review scores start pouring in.
