Final Fantasy XV Supposedly Coming in 2016

Final Fantasy XV Supposedly Coming in 2016

Final Fantasy XV wasn’t at E3 2015 at all, but showed up to Gamescom. Unfortunately, the appearance was a lackluster one. The livestream Active Time Report was lackluster, and now game director Hajime Tabata is attempting to make amends by announcing a 2016 release window for the game. He made the announcement to Eurogamer , saying people won’t have to wait until 2017.

However, that prediction may be optimistic. Tabata also spoke to Dualshockers at Gamescom about Final Fantasy XV. In that interview, he said that the game is about 65% complete. Considering the size and scope of PS4 and Xbox One games, one has to wonder if something that’s just over halfway complete could be ready within a little over a year.

We’ll see how things go. Final Fantasy XV will be appearing at PAX Prime and the Tokyo Game Show over the next few months.
