Sony Santa Monica, the studio behind the gory, visceral God of War series, has been suspiciously quiet since the third game’s release early last year. Big, successful first-party studios like that don’t fade away, though, and a recent job posting over on Gamasutra provides some insight into what the action-game gurus might be up to. Already, job postings have revealed an interest in employees with experience developing vehicular combat and shooting games, but the latest specifies that work will be for “an unannounced new IP,” and adds, “Experience in designing or contributing to the development of an ‘open world’ game is a plus.”
As of yet, there’s no word on when this game is coming out or even what platform it’s targeting. The few tantalizing tidbits we have will have to feed our collective speculations and whet our appetites for now. By Shelby Reiches |
