Future Soldier’s Arctic Strike DLC Delayed

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, aside from being a mouthful, was also an extremely serviceable third-person shooter, with light squad mechanics and a stealth bent that sometimes got in the way, but often provided for enjoyable sneaking and sniping of hapless and unaware enemy forces. It also had a pretty neat multiplayer mode, which focused on objective and class-based gameplay, each class possessing unique tools beyond their armaments.

This was slated to expand on July 3, with the release of the Arctic Strike DLC pack. It would have brought three new maps, the “Stockade” mode, a Guerilla co-op map, six weapons, new achievements and a ten-level cap increase to the game. Those additions will have to wait until the end of the month. Citing “polish” as their reasoning, Ubisoft has opted to delay the DLC package. Hopefully the extra time will allow them to do something to combat the complaints and bugs from which the game is suffering on its official forums.
