Starbound Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

Starbound Summary

Ever wanted to explore the stars? The ever-black sea is as wide as it is dangerous, and in Starbound, you get to explore every nook and carny of it. Developed and published by Chucklefish Studios, Starbound is a wide-open sandbox 3D sci-fi adventure game. It was released on the PC on July 22nd, 2016. It earned critical acclaim from fans and critics alike during its initial release and has since gone on to become a well-respected indie game.

Stabound Premise

Everyone sleeps in late sometimes, but there are days you don’t want to miss. After nearly missing your graduation ceremony to become a member of the Terrene Protectorate (think Earth Defense Force, or Star-Fleet), a mysterious entity known only as “The Ruin” appears. It begins systematically destroying Earth, and you’re the only one still capable of flying a barely working ship.

You jump into it and find yourself lost amongst the void of space itself, becoming starbound. As of now, it is up to you to fight back against the Ruin, a strange, massive creature that can wipe out entire planets.

Starbound Main Characters

  • The Player. You can pick what race you start from Human to Apex, Avian, Hyolti, Novakid, Floran, or Glitch. The last member of the Proctree, you’re literally the only one capable of taking the fight to the Ruin.
  •   S.A.I.L. The onboard A.I system of the ship you’re on. It provides helpful advice, even if its sense of humor is a bit morbid.
  •  The Cultivator. Godlike in power and scale, this creature is responsible for many of the Galaxy’s wonders…and dangers.
  •  The Ruin. The thing that destroyed your planet. Your goal is to find a way to kill it, by whatever means necessary.

Starbound Titles of Video Games in the Series

Alas, Starbound is the only game in the series so far. Who knows? Maybe there’ll be more in the future, but as of this writing, it stands alone.
