The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for some time now, and players are diving headfirst into the first open-world The Legend of Zelda game. I know countless people who have already dumped innumerable hours intoit. Whether or not they have work early in the morning, Zelda fans are staying up late and venturing through Hyrule. Much like anything in life, if you spend hours and hours involved with one thing, you start to discover its secrets. There are many of these little gems in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , and the most recent one that players have discovered leads to literal gems! Rupees, that is.
There is a minigame in the Hebra region of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that looks pretty fun to play in general. But once you figure out the trick to it, it becomes a literal money maker. Pondo’s Lodge is the location of the Snowball Bowling minigame. It has you throwing a giant snowball down a hill to mash into a bunch of pins. The first time you win the game you’ll get a Blizzard Rod, but every time after that it only costs 20 Rupees to possibly win 300 Rupees. (I guess its referencing 300 being a perfect game in bowling?)
The way you win these every time is by standing behind Pondo with the snowball in hand. Place yourself far enough behind him so that when you toss the snowball it really just lands between him and Link. This causes the ball to divert to the right to make it past Pondo and leads to an inevitable strike. Score!
There’s bound to be more little exploits like this discovered in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as more and more players get their hands on it, so keep an eye out! You never know where you’ll find a chance to literally strike it rich.
