Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe is a sci-fi augmented reality game that launched on November 19, 2021. This mobile game was developed by Imprezario Entertainment and published in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Ghostcorps. The first two episodes are free-to-play in the Google Play and iOS app stores.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe Premise
Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe sets the player in the 2020 Jason Reitman film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The film takes place in the fictional town of Summerville, Oklahoma. A family begins to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters we all know and love. While uncovering a legacy, they must stop an old threat from the ghostbusting past before it destroys not only Summerville, but the world.
In Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe, once again Summerville is in the midst of a supernatural takeover. Enemies from the film have been released and are on the loose. The player will hear from memorable characters from the film including Podcast and Trevor Spengler. Some of the supernatural entities in the film also make a comeback in Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe like Muncher, the Mini-Pufts, and Gozer.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe Gameplay
In Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe, players can catch ghosts in their own surroundings with location-based gameplay. To defend from an oncoming apocalypse, the player must battle supernatural entities with ghostbusting equipment they get from solving unique puzzles. Players must defend against slime attacks to keep their equipment at full power or else become vulnerable against the ghosts. The player will receive clues, news segments, video calls, and messages from characters from the film to help them save Summerville.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe Series
While there are multiple Ghostbusters games out there, Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe is a tie-in to the Ghostbusters: Afterlife film. It has no direct prequel or sequel games. If you’re looking for another videogame that ties in some of the same entities used, check out Ghostbusters: The Video Game. It has both a stylized version and a realistic version.

Unfortunately, Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe has no in-game cheat codes or cheat trainers available. Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe has the player solve puzzles and utilize clues to help save the day. Having any cheat codes for the game would invalidate many of its challenges. Players will have to use their own deductive skills to save the world of Ghostbusters: Afterlife ScARe.
