Godfather II Pushed Back; Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect 2 Coming in 2010

None

According to EA’s CEO, John Riccitiello, The Godfather II game will be getting pushed back from the end of February to between April and June.

This new launch window is set to give the game a better chance at market. Competing with the likes of GTA IV: The Lost and Damned, Killzone 2, Fallout 3 Expansions, and Street Fighter IV would certainly be a tall order for The Godfather II.

Pairing this news with EA’s recent announcement concerning the delay of The Sims 3, and it looks like EA is not willing to compete and lose cash on games it thinks will get the short end despite their quality.

On a brighter note, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect 2 are slated for a 2010 release, as long as DICE and BioWare don’t experience any tremendous hiccups along the way.
