Gravity Falls Getting 3DS Platformer Game

Gravity Falls Getting 3DS Platformer Game

Gravity Falls , a cartoon which might just be the best single piece of animation on the air today (aside from maybe Steven Universe ) is heading to the video game world. Ubisoft will be making a new 3DS title based around the show. It will run on the UbiArt Engine ( Rayman Origins/Legends , Child of Light ), and we all know how visually stunning games built on that engine end up.

The game will be called Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets . Gnomes have been recurring characters in this cartoon about the supernatural occurrences in a remote town, and were the first enemy that Dipper and Mable faced in the show’s pilot.

Ubisoft has brought on Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch to help develop the game, making sure that the game will be as close to the animated series as possible. According to the official press release, “The game delivers Gravity Falls ‘ trademark quirky humor in an authentic and interactive way, letting fans play as Dipper and Mabel as they set out to solve mysteries and restore order to Gnome Kingdom. Along their journey, players will encounter many more characters from the show and will explore locations including the town of Gravity Falls, the Mystery Shack, and more. Hirsch also designed the game’s original key art.”
