Earlier today, Rockstar Games announced via their website that GTA Online would be receiving a free Valentine’s Day Massacre update later this week. This special update is expected to add a series of Valentine’s themed extras for both Story Mode and the popular online multiplayer mode.
Some of the most notable additions in this update include the following:
- Players will unlock a Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun that can be picked up at any Ammu-Nation location in GTA Online . In story mode, the weapon is automatically deposited into each character’s inventory.
- Players will gain access to an armored 1920’s limousine titled the Albany Roosevelt by visiting anyone of their garage properties. Additionally, the vehicle can be purchased in story mode through the legendarymotorsport.net in-game website.
- Players will have several new attires to choose from in the form of double breasted suits, masquerade masks, and 1920’s themed flapper dresses and hairstyles.
- 10 new jobs will become available along with Deathmatches, and new Parachute jumping activities.
After hearing about all of these updates, I believe Rockstar deserves all the recognition in the world for continuing to support this mode so long after launch. It will be interesting to see if GTA V does end up coming to next-gen consoles, as the studio can only benefit even more from making a move like that.
