GTA V Busts Onto Xbox Game Pass

GTA V Busts Onto Xbox Game Pass

The Grand Theft Auto game that keeps on giving is now available through one of the best deals in gaming. Microsoft announced Grand Theft Auto V is now a part of Xbox Game Pass. There is no expiration date on its inclusion yet, so it seems like people could have a chance to take part in heists and mayhem with Brad, Michael, and Trevor at their leisure.

However, there is an important detail to note. While the Xbox Game Pass GTA V inclusion does also guarantee people access to GTA Online , the multiplayer component that keeps getting all sorts of updates, people do need an additional subscription to access that. Since that does involve online multiplayer, you have to have Xbox Live Gold or the next tier up of Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, to take advantage of those sorts of adventures.

GTA V has been absolutely huge for Rockstar. It’s spread out across multiple platforms, starting with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, moving to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014, and then finally ending up on the PC in 2015. It also appeared briefly on Sony’s subscription service, PlayStation Now, in October 2019. However, it was removed from that library on January 2, 2020. Which is probably why, the very next day, it showed up on Xbox Game Pass.

The base Xbox Game Pass membership gives people access to over 100 first and third-party games, with Xbox Game Studios titles showing up there at launch. That’s normally $9.99 per month. There’s also a $44.99 quarterly option called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives people Xbox Game Pass on the Xbox One and PC, as well as an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
