GTA V’s Release on XBL’s Games on Demand Breaks Records

GTA V’s Release on XBL’s Games on Demand Breaks Records

So, as if wearing the “Guess Who Got One-Billion Dollars In the First Week Of Launch?” ribbon wasn’t enough to boast about, Grand Theft Auto V is now putting on a second ribbon to show off “Guess Who Broke Records on Xbox Live’s Games on Demand’?” Who, Mr. GTA V ? Do tell us!

Alright; enough of that. Of course GTA V isn’t showing off anything, I’m just trying to be humorous (like it needed exposition).

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has said that GTA V has become “the highest grossing day one and week one release ever on Xbox Live following its release on the platform October 18 th .”

The game has also apparently already broken similar records on PSN, where GTA V was digitally released at the same time as it was launch globally back in September.

Having finally got a short hands-on experience with one of my friends’ GTA V a couple of weeks back, I can say in confidence that I had a blast with it. Since I was with other friends at the time, I didn’t bother with doing any campaign missions to begin with, and just spent a good couple of hours tearing up the city. I even tried to knife a shark, which was quite a nerve-wracking experience, since it was both in very open waters (and I couldn’t see the bottom, only lots of blue), and because there was a bloody shark swimming around me. Yes, I know it’s just a video game, but fears can be triggered by the most unassuming things sometimes. A quick session of roadkill rampage later, and I was back to normal!

What do you think of GTA V breaking records on XBL’s Games on Demand? Let us know in the comments!

Chirps to MCV . Thank you for reading, and I’ll catch you next time!
