Like déjà vu all over again, Bungie let it be known that Halo: Reach would be the last game in the franchise for the studio. Those who have followed the news and comments surrounding the famed development house will know that they’ve made similar statements in the past. Nevertheless, Bungie’s Lars Bakken affirmed to IGN that Halo: Reach – Halo’s origin story – will be the last installment for the franchise. “After Reach that’s it for us,” said Bakken. “We’re already working on a new IP that we can’t talk about yet, I don’t know when we’ll be talking about it – when we’re ready I suppose.” Bakken continued, “If you look at Bungie’s past we’ve done a lot of different styles – first person to third person to RTS – so it could be anything.”
