Head of 343 Industries Apologizes for Master Chief Woes

One continuous snafu after another, the folks behind the scenes at 343 Industries have finally come forth to face the music and throw themselves on the mercy of the gaming court.

Bonnie Ross (who is Studio Head at 343) took to the Xbox Wire recently to formally apologize regarding the technical glitches and hiccups that continue to plague Halo: The Master Chief Collection ’s debut. In her post, she states their goal was to “…create a tribute to Halo fans around the world, and to celebrate the Master Chief’s debut on Xbox One.” However, she whole heartedly admits the failure in their attempt, stating they “…have not delivered the experience you deserve.  I personally apologize for this on behalf of us all at 343 Industries.  Our team is committed to working around the clock until these issues are resolved.”

While I for one don’t believe in throwing the baby out with the bathwater ( Halo: MCC is still an awesome title despite its problems), these bumps in the road are certainly hampering the early goings in gamer’s minds. Ross attempts to reassure players that fixes are indeed on the way, as the team is diligently working to right the ship ASAP. “Know that we’re trying to be as nimble as possible to put fixes in place.  We are planning multiple server-side tweaks and game content updates…Development and testing of our latest content update continues and we are on track for release later this week. We will update you on the status and patch notes of the content update once we have a better understanding of our release window.” She says.

For the full length apology and additional details, be sure to check out the Xbox Wire for more info .
