Here are the DICE 2016 Award Winners

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences’ 19th annual Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain awards was held last night, and the winners in the 23 different categories have been announced. It was a big night, and it should come as no surprise that Fallout 4, Rocket League, Ori and the Blind Forest, and The Witcher 3 all did very well. Or that Satoru Iwata received a posthumous lifetime achievement award at the event.

In case you missed it, here’s the full list of all the DICE 2016 categories and the awards that were doled out this year. That way you know which games went away with what honors, without having had to watch a long show!

  • Action Game of the Year: Star Wars Battlefront
  • Adventure Game of the Year: Metal Gear Solid 5
  • Family Game of the Year: Super Mario Maker
  • Fighting Game of the Year: Mortal Kombat
  • Handheld Game of the Year: Helldivers
  • Mobile Game of the Year: Fallout Shelter
  • Racing Game of the Year: FORZA Motorsport 6
  • Role-Playing/MMO Game of the Year: Fallout 4
  • Sports Game of the Year: Rocket League
  • Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year: Heroes of the Storm
  • Outstanding Achievement in Animation: Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction: Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Outstanding Achievement in Character: Rise of the Tomb Raider – Lara Croft
  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Design: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction: Fallout 4
  • Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay: Rocket League
  • Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition: Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design: Star Wars Battlefront
  • Outstanding Achievement in Story: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Outstanding Technical Achievement: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • DICE Sprite Award: Rocket League
  • Technical Impact Award: Microsoft Basic
