For Honor is shaping up really nicely. The gameplay demonstration we saw during Ubisoft’s E3 presentation had us intrigued. New gameplay videos have emerged from Gamecom, and For Honor looks amazing. Each of the three factions – Knight, Samurai, and Viking – will have four classes, and each class has its own unique set of weapons, moves, and animations. There also seem to be comprehensive systems in place to make sure that you always have a chance to come out on top if you’re a skilled player, even if you’re facing two or three opponents at once.
If that sounds appealing to you and you’ve been craving some intense melee combat action, you’ll want to sign up for the For Honor closed alpha. The closed alpha playtest will take place from September 15 to September 18. To sign up, all you have to do is register on the official website . You’ll need a Uplay account, of course, and when prompted you’ll choose your preferred platform as well as which faction you’ll be fighting for. Ubisoft will no doubt be looking to test all of its factions across various platforms, so you may want to think twice about volunteering as a samurai on PS4 – there will be a surplus of those.
