Japanese Pamphlet Details Dark Souls III

Japanese Pamphlet Details Dark Souls III

Fans are chomping at the bit for more details on the upcoming From Software release, Dark Souls III. They want to know how this game will fit into the series. Will it be the proper sequel to the first game that Dark Souls II was supposed to be? Well, thanks to a leaked promotional pamphlet of details that was made available online, a clearer picture may be coming into view.

Defining features of the series will return. Players will be able to play online, seeing signs of other players occupying adjacent dimensions to the one they are playing in. Sometimes these other players will invade your world as hostile opponents, or they can be summoned to help overcome the game’s notorious difficulty. Granted, this was to be expected. The pamphlet did reveal that a deluxe edition of the game would be made available to pre-orders in Japan that contains the soundtrack and a map of the game. It’s not a giant leap to expect that the same treatment will be given to North American and European gamers.

This entry in the series is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the man whose vision has essentially shaped the series. Faster gameplay, better roleplaying, a more in-depth character designer, stunning visuals and a smaller, intimately connected world are expected to make Dark Souls III a game worth experiencing, regardless of how it lives up to its predecessors.
