According to Deadline New York, Josh Trank, the guy who turned Chronicle into a moneymaking machine, has now been signed with Sony Pictures to help develop a movie adaptation of shadow of the Colossus. Oddly enough, Shadow of the Colossus was kind of a minimalist game, with little talking and a large focus on exploration and battle with gigantic creatures far larger than yourself. Still, regardless of the game’s minimalist approach, Sony thinks that it has blockbuster movie potential. The film is being produced by Kevin Misher, and potential script writers are currently being interviewed.
