Kinect Sesame Street TV Coming This Autumn

Kinect Sesame Street TV Coming This Autumn

None

If the Kinect has proven that it’s good for anything, it’s revolutionizing the world of casual family friendly games. You don’t get much more family friendly than Sesame Street, and that’s why the Kinect is teaming up with everyone’s favorite Muppets this fall.

Kinect Sesame Street TV is a new interactive TV style game in development over at Microsoft’s Soho, London studio. The game, or TV series, or however you want to look at, will be developed in eight episodes. There will be no particular “goal” of the game, so to speak. Instead, each episode will essentially be an episode of Sesame Street with the ability to let the audience interact with the cast through the Kinect.

Now, the cool thing about this project is that it’s not exclusive to the Xbox, or even retail for that matter. In fact, Josh Atkins, director of game design, said”When I get asked how it’s being released I can’t answer that question in great detail, other than say that any way that you can get TV, this product will be released.”

It appears as if the goal is to essentially make a sort of new interactive TV. It starts with Sesame Street, but imagine what it would be like if the rest of your favorite shows were able to be interacted with on a regular basis.
