L.A. Noire’s Bumpy UK Launch

L.A. Noire’s Bumpy UK Launch

None

We all know that game launches don’t always go as planned. Game shortages, shipping delays, and even natural disasters can make release days messy. However, the L.A. Noire launch went off with quite the hitch when it was released last week. If you were in the UK and you picked up your copy of the game from a video game retailer, you were probably fine. However, if you picked it up for Xbox 360 from a supermarket, you may want to double-check your discs.

Apparently the Xbox 360 version of the game (which has three discs) has had some serious packaging issues. Many consumers are reporting that instead of getting sequential discs they were instead getting multiple copies of the same disc. After consumers realized they weren’t getting the full game, they flooded the return desk with complaints, and local supermarkets have been overwhelmed trying to meet demand. I’m sure they’ll all get everything sorted out soon, but it just goes to show that something as simple as packaging can seriously mess up a launch game.
