Lawsuit Against GTA Considered Frivolous

Lawsuit Against GTA Considered Frivolous

None

Yesterday, an editorial in Provo, Utah’s Daily Herald called Jack Thompson’s lawsuit against Take-Two Interactive “frivolous”.

“The makers of the video game “Grand Theft Auto” are currently being sued by the families of three slain Alabama police officers. The plaintiffs claim that eighteen year-old Devin Moore merely followed the “training” he received as he played the game. He killed the officers in a police station. Yet there are countless people who play the game regularly and seem to have no problem respecting law and order. The officers’ families are going for the deepest available pocket, the maker of the best-selling game. They wouldn’t get much out of Moore, the person who actually committed the crime,” the editorial read.

Think what you want about Thompson’s lawsuit, but it seems to me that his law practice isn’t the only thing about him that is getting out of hand.
