Well, we had our suspicions, and Nintendo has confirmed them in its latest Direct. It’s official: The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD is coming to the Wii U next year. Nintendo believes that the remaster is in very capable hands, and to add to the hype, it will come bundled with a new amiibo: Wolf Link. In addition to Wolf Link, the game will also be compatible with the five Legend of Zelda amiibo from the Smash Bros. series, but we’ll have to wait to see exactly how.
We do know, however, that some of the data saved to your Wolf Link amiibo from Twilight Princess HD will be carried over to the new Zelda coming later to the Wii U. We can’t wait to learn more about the new Zelda and how it will work with the Wolf Link amiibo. Twilight Princess HD will drop bundled with the Wolf Link amiibo on March 4, 2016.
