A new DLC stage for Sonic: Lost World has just released, and it’s entirely based off of the Legend of Zelda series. While playing the level, Sonic will wear Link’s green tunic and will pick up rupees instead of rings. He will run through Zelda inspired environments, including the Hyrule overworld, Goron caves, and more. He will even fight Zelda enemies like Deku Scrubs. Link himself even makes an appearance, flying on a Loftwing from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword , and Sonic himself can hitch a ride as well. It’s chock full of Zelda references for any Zelda fan to enjoy.
This is the second themed DLC we have seen for this game, the first being a crossover with Yoshi’s Island .. However, we would love to see more levels like this. Maybe a Mario crossover level? Maybe Sonic can spin dash through tight morph ball corridors in a Metroid level? Heck, I’d even take a Pikmin themed level. Anything would be better than Sonic’s new remake in Sonic Boom .
