Lionsgate Movies Are Now on Steam

Lionsgate Movies Are Now on Steam

Here’s something weird. You know how Steam has been expanding what it sells? So you can find games, software, music, and movies on it? Well, now you can find Lionsgate movies on the digital distributor. Supposedly 100 films will show up at launch, though right now only 70 are showing up . Eventually, more will be added.

There’s an interesting assortment of films available in this first batch, and many of them are really good! They start at $3.99, with The Hunger Games, The Cabin in the Woods, and Reservoir Dogs selling at that price. The most expensive movies are $4.99 each, and include titles like The Last Witchhunter, Cooties, and 12 Rounds 3 Lockdown . The most expensive item at the moment is a Leprechaun four film collection, which is $7.99.

We knew this would probably end up happening with Steam, but does seem a little disconcerting. Isn’t it supposed to be all about the games? What do you think?
