Mass Effect 2 & 3 DLC Available Through Origin

Mass Effect 2 & 3 DLC Available Through Origin

Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 have both been out for quite some time, but they’re only now getting a decent avenue for the purchase of their DLC on a specific platform. Fans of the two games will now be able to buy the DLC directly from EA’s Origin platform. Before, you could only buy the extra content through the BioWare store with BioWare Points.

EA’s step in the right direction might have put the Mass Effect 2 and 3 DLC up for grabs on Origin, but it’s not in the way fans might truly hope for. The company has taken an all or nothing approach to the release, putting all of the DLC for each game in bundle packs. If you want to play the extra content from Mass Effect 2 or 3 , you’re going to have to buy all of it. This includes things like the game’s soundtrack, digital comics, and digital art book as well.

This all sounds well and good, but unfortunately it does drive up the price. The bundle for Mass Effect 2 is $25, and the Mass Effect 3 DLC Bundle is $30. These prices are of course an additional cost on top of whatever the base game is going for.

While having all the extra special features like an art book and soundtrack are awesome, sometimes you want to be able to buy things one item at a time. This is still possible through the BioWare store with BioWare Points, but not through Origin.
