Tchia Premise
Tchia takes place in a vibrant archipelago based on the New Caledonia archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. Players explore tropical islands with a unique “soul jumping” ability that allows them to take control of animals and inanimate objects. This soul-jumping power is used to solve puzzles and engage in combat.
There are a number of different ways to explore the archipelago, from gliding, raftling, catapulting, and even more. Music also plays a major role in the gameplay with various rhythm games. Players can play the ukelele at any time to create “Soul-Melodies” that can summon animals for soul jumping, alter the time of day, or change the in-game weather.
Tchia Main Character
In this adventure game, Players take control of the titular character Tchia, who lives on the island of Uma. On Tchia’s twelfth birthday, a mysterious man kidnaps her father, Joxu. In the process of trying to save her father, Tchia discovers that she has the power to soul-jump into animals and objects. With these abilities, Tchia must go on a whirlwind adventure to save her father and discover who she really is.
Tchia Series
Tchia was created by Awaceb, an indie game studio. It was a passion project inspired by the developers’ home in New Caledonia. Tchia is a stand-alone game with no sequels or prequels at the moment.
Tchia isn’t the only game made by Awaceb. Their first game, Fossil Echo, is a 2D platformer that also focuses on exploration and puzzle solving. The game was released on July 8th, 2016. Awaceb is a relatively new gaming studio, so we can expect many more invasive games from them in the future.
Tchia Cheat Codes
Unlike many older games, Tchia doesn’t have any native cheat codes that could be used to gain some advantage or unlock extra content.
